Comparing at 8 months...

I am promising myself I won't do this again until they are 1-yr old :) but it really is so much fun... for me anyhow to see them side-by-side at the same ages.  Though I can't for my life get them in the same poses  :)  Lauren definitely wasn't crawling at 8mo and Lindsay had just started... more slithering than anything. Lydia as you can see is pulling herself up to STANDING, and LeaAnn won't stay in one spot :)

starting with Lauren Dorothy...

Then little ms. dimples ... Lindsay Rae

then we have the 'moving' queen... Lydia Alice

last but not least.. the 'little' sister...  who is the farthest thing from it!
LeaAnn Claire...

I wanted to put in more pics... but I lost the affect of seeing them side by side.
However, I couldn't resist putting in one more :)

Lauren 23mo & Lindsay 7-1/2mo

there will be more to come :) I love it too much!

Fall Festival

Sunday, 10/23/11 - Fall Festival at the Cook's

We had such a nice time last Sunday! Chris got roped into trying to fish again :) he claims all he does is untangle lines... which he does ;) Girls had a great time w/the crafts & hayride...even L4 did great! She hung out pretty happy till the end. A big thank you to Aaron & Trish for hosting it every year!

Dad & LeaAnn (7-1/2mo)

Lydia (23mo) happy w/a sucker :)

Lauren (6-1/2) & Lindsay (5-2mo) crafting...

Same outfit... one year later.

Name that baby! LeaAnn is 7-1/2mo and Lydia was 10mo... wearing the same outfit :) they both look adorable in it (I think ;) but I'm slightly bias).. thank you Amber Hoisington!

LeaAnn Claire - 10/23/11
Lydia Alice - 9/15/10

LeaAnn

on a mission..
misson accomplished :)

Lydia's mission... still is to this day ;)

I wanna be a big girl too!

So Ms. LeaAnn at 7-1/2 mo has decided to join the crowd :) and not take 'no' for an answer! Lydia does love her, but she of course thinks there are problems with "Wiam" being able to get anywhere she wants to now :) Had to capture this 'first' of LeaAnn pulling herself up ... specifically to get to Lydia's hair ;)

going for the hair...

got it :)

so proud of herself :)

Ms. LeaAnn at 7-1/2mo

friend Rylee spent some time w/us... and she enjoyed reading to her audience

she was so sweet

she was being such a ham!

here we are :) all of them looking

Pumpkin patch

A trip to Sherman's Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, 10/16... which made it Lydia's 23mo birthday :)  and I was constantly trying to get her to smile at the camera... and this was all I could get ;)

Mimi & Pap's fall trip to Iowa

October 7-9, 2011

What would we do without our parents... I feel so blessed and fortunate that mom & dad continue to make the 8-1/2 hr trip from Ohio to Iowa to spend time with us, play with all the kids, shower us w/gifts.... basically spoil us. :) We had a wonderful visit and I didn't get my camera out! Luckily mom did :)

On Friday, Chris & I took the day to drive to the World Dairy Expo in Madison, WI. Lindsay had a fever and got to stay home from school w/the babies and Mimi & Pap... she didn't mind ;)

and then LeaAnn got sick too! :( But it was short lived... poor Mimi & Pap!

After Lauren got home, w/Pap on the porch swing...

Pap handing out 4-wheeler rides... Lydia played shy for this one.

Lindsay J Bowen!  Even though we didn't get to talk long, it was SO good to see her... and again, would not have been possible w/o Mimi & Pap!
and on a side note, Lindsay & Kevin did awesome at the show!! All of Lindsay's hard work and dedication to her animals definitely paid off :)

 when we got home...

The next day.... again I took off to take Kress family photos and Mimi & Pap took care of the kids...

and that night we had a wedding to go to! Bedtime for the babies.

Sunday morning, waving good-bye Mimi & Pap... :(

The next weekend on Saturday, it was a sunny morning and the girls were eating pancakes that Chris had made them and Lindsay said, "I miss Mimi & Pap... it feels like they should be here."  And we do miss you Mimi & Pap... thanks for everything and can't wait to see you again!
