Girls weekend at the river!

Friday, 7/20/12

Maria & Troy invited us up to spend a few nights at their camper, go boating & relax! Again... how lucky am I to have friends w/boats?!? ;)  Here we are on Friday night.

The next morning we left the camper fairly early... well not as early as Maria would've liked, but she could not rouse any of us at 6:30am! ;) Here is the Youngblut's truck w/their boat, "The Bad Apple."

Baragary drove up that morning w/Kate, Dawn, Lacy, Kelly & Megan. Here's Sean's boat... "Always Chorin'"... but like Maria said... he's not always choring, he was at the river today!! ;) And we were very glad he was.

Here we are waiting on Troy and listening to the song, Patoon, for the first time out of fifty that day!!! (and I'm really not exaggerating ;)

We were supposedly under a 'heat advisory' ?!?  It was cloudy, cool & sprinkled on us twice! But we did not let the weather slow us down :)

All the girls!

Our host & hostess... aren't they so cute?

I adore their boat... it completely screams Maria and is perfect for them! Now they just need to get a set of ski's ;)

Sisters Maggie & Shannon... I just adored Shannon's hat!

The 'duo'

Baragary cousins...

Trying to 'capture' Lacy & Sean's convo...

Love this expression on Lacy's face :)

cheers!

And Maria made us these coozies!! Wasn't she sweet... I forgot to take one of the back of the coozie, it said, "River, Relaxing, Reminiscing" - perfect!

And as you can see, we were camera happy :)

Had the awnings up b/c of the rain... but "oh well!" right Maria! :) I would assume she was playing the song, Patoon... again :D

And then the sun came out, and the people appeared!! Amazing how many people there were...

We took off to see a bit more of the river...

Our driver for the weekend... Troy!

more 'girl' picture time :)

I was amazed... we were cruising by the barges!

We stopped by Clayton to try and hear bands playing... but we really couldn't hear the music that well.

Funny & cute :D

But we ate peanuts & hung out anyway.  We stayed on the water until 7pm! It was a fabulous & relaxing time and it made me beyond excited for our houseboat trip!!! Thanks again Maria & Troy for a fabulous weekend!!!

Lindsay in "Little Tot" soccer!

Thursday, 7/19/12

1st day of 'Little Tot Soccer' for Lindsay! It's through Independence Parks & Rec and she had a great time! I'm so impressed that there are so many volunteers for this sort of thing... and feel very grateful for them.

Love these pics of her... she looks so grown up.

I can already see a comparison pic 10 years from now when she's 16... (tear)

Here is her fan club :D That sucker lasted 5-minutes for LeaAnn. Lauren & Lydia were super cute and cheered Lindsay on the whole time.

Hands on her hips... where does she get that from?!? ;) She's excited for her 2nd lesson tonight!

the girls

Thursday, 7/19/12

Lindsay's 5-11mo birthday, Lydia had just turned 2-8mo, Lauren is almost 7-3months, and LeaAnn is 16-1/2mo... and they are ALL coloring! Just going to go ahead and state the obvious, that this is because of the two oldest... amazing the power of older-sister role-models! :D But it was SUPER-duper cute, and I had to take a picture of it....

Smallsy... as Chris says, "I can just eat her up right now" and it's true. She's really hit a good stage. Still  has her moments, but definitely turned a corner. She handed the stick over to LeaAnn who happily took her place as 'most independent/high-strung daughter of the month' ;)

Look at that and she even smiles for the camera now! She's telling a bazillion stories... which are long & extensive. She still loves Dora, loves Tico flying the airplanes, loves "Georgy", loves dancing, does awesome riding her bike, likes to read herself books, undresses/dresses herself and overall wants to do everything that her big sisters, "Waren & Dinsy" are doing. :)
Yesterday at the pool she put on her goggles, that she usually just wears for 'show' :) dunked herself under the water and came up saying, "Mommy! I go under the water wike Waren & Dinsy!"  So proud of herself... and she is a really good swimmer! She kicks her legs and is really quite graceful.. it's amazing. Again, the power of having older sisters ;)

Wiam... not to be left out :) she's getting the concept!

Our toothless Lindsay who can't wait to go to Kindergarten.

And Lauren who also can't wait to go to school! I find myself getting excited for them... and feel so blessed that they like and want to go back to school. Makes the transition to August & starting back-to-work that much easier.

Tammy visits!

Wednesday, 7/18/12
Where does time go... I haven't seen Tammy since February!!! She was kind enough to say, "Jayme, what day works for you, I'll drive up and spend the day."  And it was perfect. She met us at the Winthrop park during swim lessons, ate a picnic lunch with us and spent the afternoon.

This was after Lydia's nap. She was trying to destroy the big girls' Lego 'world' :) She shoved them down her dress and pulled them out one-by-one and handed them to Tammy. :) Lydia was so cute, she called Tammy, "Mammy" :)

Tammy brought the girls a pedicure/make-up set :D that Lydia is taking full advantage of here ;)

And Lauren the 'beautician' took on the challenge of painting her nails while swinging... she actually did a really good job. :)

And this is the gift we spent all afternoon on while LeaAnn & Lydia were napping. Modeling-clay flowers from Crayola. They were awesome! Four of the colors were scented. :)

Tammy said, "I think I'm enjoying myself too much" :) I told her she should go home and buy herself a set!

The girls were really proud of their flowers... and a perfect activity to do while it was 95-degrees out & humid!

And little bugs too!

Was trying to take pic of this flower up close... Tammy helped and each petal has initials on it for our whole family, including Tammy!

And before the little girls destroyed their Lego-city, Lauren & Lindsay wanted me to take pics of it :) Here is the over-view...

This was Lydia's "Bible School"

Here is the airport

School & Dr's office

Here is the Muffin-man ;) of course, right?!?

Can't forget a swimming pool...

And finally, the train station. Love their imaginations! Thanks again Tammy for driving up & hanging out with us! :D
