LeaAnn at 16-months

Ms. LeaAnn Claire is quite a handful at 16-months :) She started the month off screeching & screaming at everything. She has progressed a little, now using words like, "ju" for juice and actually signing for 'more'... every little bit helps right? ;) This was Sunday, 7/15/12 - the girls were tying ribbons to their flip-flops, and of course Wiam did not want to be left out.

Couldn't get her to smile...

almost :)
Last Thursday was Lauren & Lindsay's last day of swim lessons. (of course no pics of that :( ) We packed our picnic lunch, but instead of dropping 1&2 off, not watching, and heading the park, I decided that I did want to watch the girls swim. Which meant 'entertaining' LeaAnn and not letting her walk into the water herself. We started off outside of the pool, watching on the other side of the fence. We were by the van, but she ended up screaming b/c I wouldn't let her hold the Gatorade bottle by herself, for fear of dumping it all over her and the van. Then we head into the pool area, and I fight her to not go into the pool and she lays down on the ground, on her back, kicks her feet on the concrete and screams. :)  Oh yes, and rolls around. She's not super great at eating at picnic tables either, so that is taxing as well.

So the reason I write all of this is b/c it happened all over again after naps with visiting the Peck's camping, eating dinner outside their camper, on a picnic table, then heading to Lindsay's first soccer lesson, where she again just tried to run onto the field. :)  I did remember to bring a sucker (which a 16-mo old is not supposed to have) which lasted 5-minutes.  By the end of the day, my back hurt, my SI joints hurt... I was so tired of picking up and moving almost 27 or 28lbs it was ridiculous :)

But I would not have it any other way. She has the most kissable cheeks and can be so sweet & cuddly when she wants to be. LeaAnn continues to be solid. Which is why her new nickname is "Big Girl Beyer" :D  I'm sure someday she will not appreciate it, but fits her to a 'T' right now! Her grip around our waist with her legs is so tight, you almost can't pry her off! ;)

I love her big blue eyes & white hair... and she tans! She has tan lines on the creases in her arms, it's adorable. :)

She has been having full-fledged conversations with us. Genuinely trying to talk & telling us exactly what she's thinking... except, no one knows what she's saying ;)  But that means more words are close! She also gained 4 more teeth this month and more curls in the back of her hair.

She also adores her big sisters... all of them. And when we say, "where's Lindsay" she'll point to Lindsay, smile and say, "Da!"

Same for Lauren.

LeaAnn ended up finding dirt, dumping it on herself and I had to give her a bath :D And the big girls ended up with 'fancy' flip-flops :)
