Soloth Family Reunion 2012

We once again met as a Soloth Family 'clan', complete with 20 children, 8 & under, and 19 adults!!! It is a ton of people, and so much fun for everyone. Last year we stayed at this same place, Honey Creek Resort State Park on Lake Rathbun. Since Moravia is relatively in the middle as far as driving, the cabins are in a circle so we have a central meeting spot and there are lots of options for activities, Aunt Rose reserved our spots again for this year.

And like last year, it was scortching hot! Here we are on Sunday, 7/15/12. We brought sprinklers and it was  perfect for the kids to cool off. Here are Owen (4-1/2) & Miles (18-1/2mo)... I have to say Miles enjoyed it the most :D

He was so funny trying to grab the water & drink it all at the same time...

Love this face :)

Blake (almost 5) joining in on the action...

A crew back from a bike-ride... Lauren (7-3mo)

Riley (6-10mo) & Lindsay (5-11mo)

Later hanging out... Dawn and her youngest daughter, Brooklyn playing with Lydia (2-8mo). I didn't get as many pics as I would have liked but it is pretty intense trying to keep everything moving in one direction :)  In our cabin we had our family of 6, the Raefield's family of 6 and the Larson family of 5... again, 11 kids 7 & under... pretty crazy at times ;)

The next day we decided to head to the indoor water park in the morning. No pics of that of course. But I did snag this one of Syd (18-1/2mo) who quickly climbed in our van and sat herself down in a big-girl seat :)

She was so proud of herself :)

We spent at least an hour blowing up water balloons... and we finally let all the cousins have-at-it. My camera fogged over b/c of how cold our cabin was and how hot & muggy it was outside!

We managed to go to the beach on the lake with a few of the kids and then come back for dinner. Mom-of-twins, Jill :) feeding twins :) I so remember Kris Wilgenbusch having to do the same thing at graduation parties.

Super-soaker hot-job for Chris cooking brat burgers... and Dad, Papa Jim, trying to console him ;)

Lindsay eating

Lotta kids!

LeaAnn saying, "who me? I'm supposed to be sitting and eating?" See the purple Minnie Mouse cup? That's where she's supposed to be ;)

"Oh me! Yup, right here mom." :)

The matron of honor this year was Barb... we are celebrating her 70th birthday which was in June! We get shirts every year and they were designed in her honor. After they were distributed, it was decided we should have a group shot.. and I'm so glad we did!  Here is everyone getting ready...

This way Wiam...

Set the timer... worked pretty slick!

Can't decide which is my favorite...

But I think everyone is smiling in this one... compliments of Jody hooping & hollering to get the 20 kids to look and then running back. :D

Grandkids only... with the help of a few mom's & dad's ;)

These were tough.. here's where you need a professional photographer to switch heads from one pic to the next ;)

Cool blue eyes :)

Jody asked me to snap a few of their family... what a pretty setting! Thought it was perfect with the green-tree background and yellow flowers in the grass...

upside down Wiam...

funny :D

Love that tongue...

Uncle Brent smooch!

The siblings... the reason we're all together at the same place. Jeanette, Barb & Bob. I could not help but think of their mom & dad (Eric & Velma) when taking these pictures... how proud they would be, and how I know they are smiling on all of them.

Pretty Sydney...

Cool Norwegian birthday cake for Barb... made by yours-truly... Grammy!

It was super light & delicious...

love that little Lydia butt! :)

Singing Happy Birthday to...

the birthday girl!!! Barbara Ann...

time to eat!

Just love the shirts... great job Jody & Jill!

We strung glow sticks on the kids' tires... looked so cool as they rode around! Wonderful family vaca and look forward to the annual tradition in the years to come.
