Summer again?

Sure felt like it! :D  Sticky and all!  Thursday, 5/3/12 - LeaAnn's official 14-months birthday! She squeals and crawls really fast to the jeep every-time she sees it :) And Lydia lovingly agrees to give her a ride ;)

fighting over the controls... I can just imagine this 'for real' in another 14 years...

Practicing! The big girls are playing t-ball for the first time this year and doing great! Really happy w/Quasky ball... the coaches are really supportive, very patient, and truly want all the girls to do a good job... it's very encouraging :)

LOVE this face of LeaAnn's :)

Lindsay Rae at 5-8months

Lauren at 7

swinging! one of her favorite things to do...

And she can pump her legs sometimes! Why I'm surprised, I have no idea... but I'm pretty sure Barb (babysitter) has been working w/her on this :)

LeaAnn in her fave spot

Inside waiting for supper

Lydia saying, "yes! let's go outside Wiam" ;)  I can only imagine where this is going to lead when LeaAnn eventually decides to walk :) We have a great summer ahead of us!

LeaAnn at 14-months

Friday, 5/4/12
So I'm a day off... but Wiam is now officially 14-months old :D
She loves the car... not quite as fast with it as Lydia was/is, but she can make it go...

Loves 'nesting' cups, magnets... and anything that her big sister, Lydia is playing with ;)

She loves her thumb... and her blankie ;)

I wonder if she'll have as much difficulty letting it go as Lauren does :(  but she looks so darn cute! ;)

LOVES going outside... she still can't say very much, but when she sees Chris get her jacket or shoes - watch out! She is yelling/babbling something fierce, which equates to, 'take me outside now!'

Still drooling... but no new teeth...

and still loves the Princess couch!  Funny... all the other girls did too :)
And I must say, though time consuming, my favorite part of this blog is putting in comparison pictures. I just love that in one quick click - viola! Here they all are at 14-months.
So though I still struggle with printing out photos or not... the blog has a definite plus, as it would have taken a long time to get out all the albums and get to the right page with hard-copy photos :)

Here is LeaAnn at 14-months...

guess who? Lauren Dorothy at 14-months (we're at Jayne & Jim's for a summer visit)
Lindsay Rae - hasn't changed a bit! ;)
such a pretty girl... had to include this pic too, b/c Lauren is the same age as Lydia is right now... and I can definitely see resemblance!
and to no surprise, this is Lydia!  I can't believe I didn't have a good up-close pic of Lydia at 14-months... oh well, this definitely shows-off her personality... that is still accurate to this day! ;)

and of course she's walking carrying a light-saver ;)

not Wiam :)  though we've seen a solid 10-steps, and more & more steps, wobble/re-balance, steps... so we're making progress!

loves books...

she seems so tall! anxious for the stats at her 15-month appt

and had to include this picture! Lauren had her beat on the leg-rolls! Pictured w/cousin Evan

loves to turn pages...

and LOVES to play chase. She was laughing hysterically at herself while I was snapping away...

and she is cuddly when she wants to be ...

She's good at lounging and rolling around on whomever is on the ground w/her :)

and loves to give kisses too. Like all of them, she is a pretty special 'little' girl... as soon as she decides to take off walking, I think she'll jump right into the action w/the rest of them :)

Friends & Family Day 2012

Thursday, 5/3/2012

The weather held out and we had another beautiful day for Friends & Family Day at East Buchanan! The day consists of 3rd through 6th graders field/game-day in the morning, then 'friends & family' are invited to picnic for lunch, and finally there is another concert (3rd one this year! so impressed w/the music program/teacher Mr. Brown) for Kindergarten through 2nd grade.  Grammy joined us again for lunch :D

Headed inside to find a seat for the concert, and we found the Hellenthal girls! Lindsay immediately went down for hugs...

Dad also made it for the concert :D

And here they are - their last 1st grade concert!  Each grade is assigned a color t-shirt....

they had a song about how 'nothing rhymes w/orange' :)

they all did such a great job - always impressed w/how all the kids know the words to the songs!

Pretty sure we have something like 9 or 10 more years of Friends & Family Day :D  lots of comparison pictures to come in the years ahead!

1st grade circus

Friday, 4/27/12 - Lauren's 1st grade circus!

I was so impressed with this production! So much work for the 2 first-grade teachers, and they did such an awesome job. :D  The circus included ring-leaders, acrobats, lion-tamers, snake-charmers, elephants & trainers, muscle-men & woman, jugglers, seal-tamers, dancing bears... it was adorable. (think I named them all ;)

Lauren was 1 of 3 acrobats, and she did a fantastic job! Started with front rolls down &  back on the mat..

Cartwheels were next, but I was trying to run the camcorder plus take pictures and it didn't work :( Then they walked across the alphabet 'balance-beam' you see behind them, and they ended with this tower.

All the kiddos seemed super excited for all of their classmates. They laughed & danced along with whomever was entertaining the crowd.

I believe they were laughing at the clowns here, who were hilarious :)

helping out another act...

walking up for the finale...

Then they sang an adorable song thanking everyone for coming to watch their circus :)

Bio's of all the participants were on the wall that they filled out themselves.

Went to her classroom to pick her up and finally got an individual shot :D I just can't believe her 1st-grade year is almost over...and she'll be an even 'bigger' 2nd-grader next year. (sigh )

On another note, I'm pretty sure there is a similar pic of me from my first-grade circus! (Mimi says she's going to try and find it ;)
