Unbelievably enough... this was the first snow that we've had!! In IOWA!!! I wish I had grabbed my camera exactly one week to-the-day before this, Lauren & Lindsay had their new sleds out and were trying to sled on the grass... and it was almost 50-degrees outside! So crazy... truly I did not miss it, but the kids sure did. It sounded like Christmas morning all over again... "Lindsay LOOK! There is SNOW on the ground! We can go sledding!" So needless to say, they were excited.
And oh how nice it is that they can dress themselves!!! And another amazing feature to this crew is that Lydia can almost dress herself too... I continue to scratch my head, b/c Lauren or Lindsay were NO WHERE NEAR this coordinated. She puts on her snowpants by herself (backwards a time or two ;), socks, hat, mittens, boots... she tries the zipper, but it always gets her. :) So it was fun, for them AND me to send them on their way while I had enough time to have the hot-chocolate made & cooling when their cheeks got too cold :)
