EB Winter Concert 2015

This year I made a point to attend the matinee concert at 2pm :) The girls dressed up for it this year, and I really wanted to not worry about taping their songs during the night time performance. Grammy was there, so we sat together in the front row :) after Marilyn Peck convinced us of course ;)

But... I'm devastated to say that I only taped this ONE song of Lydia's :(( I seriously could cry. I thought I was taping, but I wasn't... I evidently hit the 'on' button in-between songs... so sadly, this is all I got. Did she look adorable or what?? I just love this dress... Lauren & Lindsay wore them when Lauren was in 2nd grade I believe?

Here is Lindsay... 3rd grade 

I remember this being a big deal for Lauren when she finally got to play recorders at the concert... and I didn't even know that Lindsay was!!! She did great though :)

And then after 3rd grade, the 5th grade band got to play! They were so cute, nervous I'm sure... but they all did really well :)

And I remember when Lauren was in Kindergarten and 1st grade listening to the 5th grade band and thinking, "really???" :) and now here I am, one of those proud 5th grade parents and thinks the songs sound great!! :) And they do sound great!

And then 4th grade sang, and then the 5th graders... Her 5th grade class. It takes a bit for that to sink in for me... such a huge change from Kindergarten to now... again, I remember our first concert and thinking, "no way... she'll never be that big" .... and blink 4-times, here we are.

As usual, Mr. Brown did a fabulous job. Such a talented, caring, and giving man... I feel so blessed that our children have such a wonderful music teacher who truly cares about them.

And that was a wrap! I just told Chris that LeaAnn would be singing next year, but that we would still not be sitting by ourselves...Lauren will join us as she will not be considered 'elementary' any more :(  And then we will have 2 concerts to go to :) Great job girls! We certainly enjoyed it :)
