Sunday, 12/18 - cartwheels... it's the new thing! They cartwheel all over the place... which is great, except that we have no space - but they cartwheel anyway ;) I taped them doing 'partner' stuff b/c it was hilarious and fun... and they love it ❤
Tuesday, 12/20 - officially Christmas break for me! Went to the grocery store looking like this and the lady checking me out said, "you can't be old enough to have 4 kids?!?" So ... I had to ;) Lola came over that afternoon and we had our annual tradition of wrapping presents!! Every year I am SO GRATEFUL... as I don't know how I'd get it done without her!! Still wrapping when the girls got off the bus... but we got. it. done!
Wednesday, 12/21 - last day of school for these girls... and little Lydia made this adorable sleigh all. by. herself. She drew it out on cardboard (found all by herself), cut it out all by herself, and then Lindsay helped her glue it together... absolutely adorable. She formed Santa's bag the night before... And, to make it extra special 'Lydia style' she packed the bag with 3 Hershey kisses. It was built with love for Tiffany Lenox, one of her 1st grade teachers. ❤
Aaannndd... 12/21 is also Maggie's birthday! So we stopped over and ended up having dinner with them! Fred was super sweet, bought Maggie a sash, the kids made her a cake and Fred cooked some amazing chicken!
Some kind of 'pie in the face' going on ;) b/t these two... no way!!! ;)
Look at these two... so sweet ❤
And then on Friday, 12/23 I FINALLY made them hair-cut appointments!!!
Check out the new LeaAnn!
THAT is a lot of hair!
Lauren was cut and curled ❤
Lydia's new 'do'
And it was taking some time... the girls were so sweet and played on my phone the whole time... giggling and laughing... doing this! :D
Actually Courtney said it, "how do you get your girls to get along so well?!" And truly, I don't know... I feel so blessed that they are so sweet to each other... MOST of the time ;)
And last but not least... Lindsay! So... we stopped at Grammy's quick, dropped Linds, Lydia & LeaAnn off and Lauren agreed to power-shop with me for all the last minute things!
While Linds, Lydia & LeaAnn had fun sledding at Grammy's - Lauren and I had fun power-walking, making quick decisions and problem solving for 3-hours :) couldn't have done it without you!!
We made it JUST in time... Chris picked the girls up from Grammy's and we all met at the movie theater in Independence to watch SING! THE FIRST time we've all seen a movie together...
was super sweet.
New beginnings, new traditions... time keeps flying by. Change is hard, change is exciting... and I'm trying to embrace it all. Hope you girls had a very Merry Christmas b/c I sure did 😚
