more volleyball and a trip to the Raefield's

Saturday, 3/12/16

Oh yes... it's all coming back to me now ;) Why you ask, might I NOT remember this weekend... b/c I'm 3-months behind!! But this was another morning where I couldn't sleep... and one of the things I could not get out of my mind were pictures. All the memories that I have captured, but have no idea how anyone will find them if I don't put them somewhere {sigh} so I continue on, one foot in front of the other. :) AND if someone can find me the emoji 'app' for this blog, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Ok, back to what I remember now... Friday the 11th was the hockey game and we got home at 10/10:15pm?? And here we are at a volleyball game at 9:30am :)
AND we were driving south to Iowa City directly after the game... AND I worked 4-days previously... and I'm sure the laundry wasn't done, the house was a mess, etc, etc, etc :)
It's just a lot.
Always is... but I make it happen, squeeze all the activities in... and in the end, it's worth it. :)
I think... I don't know... ask the girls...
Girls, what do you think?
Do you remember this jammed packed weekend??? I'm sure they'll tell me someday.

So!! As far as sports go, volleyball is right up there with being one of the more fun things to watch!! Lauren does great, the TEAM does great... they're competitive at this level, and it's really fun to watch them, learn, have success and grow as a team.  Today I decided to try and take pictures!

Grammy came to this game, this is as we were heading out!

To the Raefield's!  Here is LeaAnn opening up her birthday present from Aunt Jill!

And are you surprised... she tried it on... a new MERMAID swimsuit!!

Love it!!

And a swimsuit for Phoebe... score!! One happy 5-yr-old right here!

They have so much fun together...

Uncle Chris & Miles

The big-kid basement domain :)

Super cool, they built obstacles that you had to go through...

And an alarm would go off if you touched the wires... now that I think about it, it's a spy kit I believe? Regardless, super cute!

Had a really fun day/night with out cousins, Eric even made it home from flying, so it was awesome to have all 12 of us there!!!

Little Miss Pigtails at the Blackhawk Hockey game ~ March 2016

Friday, March 11, 2016

Little Miss Pigtails got asked to help with promoting Iowa Pork at a Blackhawk hockey game in Waterloo!! So of course we all went :)  Actually, it was a bit of a discussion if we'd all go...did we have time, could we squeeze it in, but really glad we did make it happen :)

With another county Miss Pigtails :) Even went to the consignment shop with Lindsay & Lydia to find something fun for Linds to wear... found this cute shirt AND the boots!

With Holly Cook THE Iowa State Pork Queen!! She's not even my daughter and I'm so proud of her... that is typically a college position, and she obtained it as a senior in high school! Such a great role model... glad the girls get to see this type of possibility :)

And this cute dress...

and necklace! ;)  It was super fun to shop with just 2 of them...

LeaAnn made some friends...

And one of the coolest parts we got to go on the ice at the 2nd 1/2 time!

And it was harder than I thought it was going to be to take pictures... everyone was moving and I didn't know where to look!

Regardless it was fun, and you can tell by her smile, they really enjoyed it!

Monaghan's were there, so we got a picture with our favorite babysitter, Claire!

And... had to throw this in here!! on Wednesday the 9th, Lauren got her braces on!! She's such a trooper and is doing awesome with them!

EB Spring Concert ~ March 2015

Tuesday, March 8th - EB Spring Concert!

I went to the mantinee concert again... so nice to see it twice :) This is all I could get of LeaAnn ;)
It was a patriotic theme and SO CUTE... as always.

Lydia's Kindergarten class

Lindsay's 3rd grade class

Lauren's 5th grade band

Lauren's 5th grade choir

That night before heading out!

And Lauren's last 'elementary' concert... ever!!

Phoebe made the trip with us as you can see :)

Was super proud of her flute solos!!

The first song was awesome... Mr. Brown involved the entire elementary with state signs, with this awesome song the 5th graders had to sing

I tried again to get 'her' part... I had never heard the song before, it was really cool!

Lydia one more time... these are shorter snip-its :)

The finale song!! Always so thankful for such a strong music program for the elementary, makes it enjoyable to watch as well! :D
