Mimi & Pap came for a visit!!! We had a jam-packed, wonderful visit... so much so, that I really didn't want them to leave. I never do... but for some reason I had that extra tug at my heart... and I just wished I could squeeze Ohio & Iowa a little bit closer together. I told Chris during the week... you'd better start now. Better start telling the girls now to not move away and stay close to home. (sigh) we'll see if it works.
But here are the happy pictures from the visit :) Playing board games with Mimi...
fingers out of the nose Linds!
I liked this one :)
Pap reading LeaAnn books... well she wanted to read at the same time... but it was really cute.
I have a video... need to get on putting that in here too :)
They are so cool and enormous!
It was freezing... no other words for it. But we stayed for the parade and glad we did b/c it was a really neat one. I hope we continue the tradition and get better weather next year!
LeaAnn caught right on to the parade wave :)
The next morning, Sunday, 10/7/12 Maggie & I had signed up for the 10K Race for the Fair. We agreed we were not racing and going to enjoy the run :)
It was a beautiful morning... mom & dad stopped for coffee at Burger King and saw us coming! She snapped the pics for us :)
At the finish line...
So we got 1st & 2nd in our age division... and that's b/c no one else signed up for our age division! Well I don't know that for sure, but there was not a huge turn-out. :) None-the-less we had a good pace, but talked the whole time and it was very enjoyable.
Mom snapped these before they left.. aren't they so sweet!!! They do play really well together.
I'll have to see if I one similar of Lauren & Linds.
Thanks again Mimi & Pap for the awesome visit... love you so much!

Can you SEE me Smiling?! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures Jayme, I can't imagine being that far away from my parents anymore, I am sure it is hard to see them leave. It's nice you are all so close and get to see each other so much.
