Ohio ... for Christmas(!) :D

I decided to take the challenge... and make the drive to Ohio with all four girls by. my. self. And we did it!!! I knew we could and would...still, it was one of those 'firsts' that is very exciting to accomplish. Lauren & Lindsay were awesome help... tending to their little sisters as only mother-hens can :) And when they fell asleep and Lydia & LeaAnn refused to, my Ipod helped out a bit too ;)

We left on Thursday, 12/27 due to the snowstorm the day after Christmas. So glad we waited... there was not a bit of snow on the roads until we hit Wayne Trace :) 8-1/2 hrs total, only 2 (!) stops for four little girls and we pulled into Mimi & Pap's drive :) I stepped out of the van and said, "Dad! We made it!" and his reply, "I never had a doubt in my mind, Jaym."

We opened presents with Elle & Carson that night. These pics are thanks to Mimi!

Love Lydia's new twirly-princess dress? :)

She loved it too

They were all so excited to get McD's gift certificates in their stockings! "Now we CAN get a Happy Meal next time we go, Mom!"  The little things, right?

Adorable hats from Great-Aunt Susie...

SO cute...

Trying to get Wiam to wear hers... and it's too bad I did not get a pic of the girls' new Thirty-one lunch bags from Great-Aunt Julie, a huge hit! (And I adore my bag too!) Or the fuzzy socks from Great-Aunt Dawn & Gina... they wear them to bed every night :)

And the grand finale :) A Kindle Fire for the big girls... WOW, such a treat!

I love Wiam diving in here :)  And so i just have to say the Kindle is a hit for everyone. Including Dad who is over-the-top with Angry Birds :) And he might try to fight me on the 'over-the-top' statement... but we had it with us when we stopped over for dinner at Maggie & Fred's last Saturday night (well we invited ourselves over ;) and Chris brought the Kindle in and begged Fred to help him defeat a level.. and he did. :D  Hilarious!

The next day, Friday, 12/28/12 - Mom took the big girls to Children's Place for me to exchange the outfit that was too big for Lauren, and that night mom invited all the aunts over for dinner!

London & Wiam :) She really did pretty well.. but this a typical LeaAnn face at the moment ;)

Lori with the singing monkey

The nurses analyzing Dad's reports from his breathing machine at night... they were amazed at the readings... not a good thing. But he's wearing it... and it's helping! So that's the good thing. I just found it funny they both have their glasses on :)

The 'big-kids' table...

Total Donnie face :)

Only pic of the four of them together...

I just love that she smiles 'most-of-the-time' on que :)

AH! SO cute...

Cousin-fest in the basement...

Adorable :)

Dance party to the juke-box

Hmmm... like-mama-like-daughter???

Love Lindsay's dance here

And the night would not be complete without an-aunt-pillow-fight!

The aunts won ;) and everyone slept well!
