Monday, 12/31/12 - New Year's Eve Day... and we had to head home. I was really pleasantly surprised and pleased with how easily we made it out the door. The van was packed. So much so we had to leave our tire-swing-rocking-horse in Ohio for now. Christmas present to Wiam from Mimi & Pap :)
(Click here to see what it looks like, but they did not find it at Target - horse-tire-swing)
The girls can't wait to hang it up at the house!
Here is Smallsy (who looks so grown up in this picture) before we left.
I think her side-profile is so sweet...
Big-sis Lauren, always there ready to help...
Trying :) with no success... but I wasn't in any of the pics, so I threw it in.
Bitter-sweet girls almost ready to get in the van to leave.
No one really wanted to go... but it was time (sigh). Best part about leaving was knowing that we could and will drive back (no outside assistance required :D) anytime we have a few extra days. I was emotional when we left... I felt like I was driving away in Henry (my green Honda Accord) for Minnesota 13-years-ago for some reason. Only this time I was in a 'big-girl' Honda van with not one, not two, but FOUR beautiful daughters... driving to Iowa. Who would have ever guessed... certainly not me. My guardian angels were with us as we did encounter snow on the way home... and I really didn't know what I was going to do if we slid into the ditch... but thankfully all the prayers worked, and we didn't. And we made it home safe & sound in 9-hours.
We love you Mimi & Pap (and our whole Ohio family!!!) We'll be back soon!!!
