Mimi arrived on Tuesday, May 14th and stayed through Sunday!!! We had such a great time... we did not have any huge obligations or plans, it was just having an extra set of hands to help care for everyone, that just made it easier to breathe for the week ;) I can't explain why life has felt a little 'out of control' lately... I suppose it's Chris' new job and not knowing if/when he will be around (which is a good thing :) or maybe it's just that there are four blond beauties vying for attention at all times... LeaAnn is NOT to be left out anymore :) but whatever the cause, it's a wonderful sort of blur of activities at all times. I can not express how fortunate I feel... everyday, to have such mass chaos in my life.... truly. And having Mimi around allowed me to slow down just a bit, and see it a little more... rather than watch it flying around me ;)
So here is our week in pictures... thanks to Mimi's phone, we have awesome pictures! :D Wednesday at the Winthrop park... only big-girl swings now.
On Thursday, Mom had a 'free' day... for a little while ;) and she went on a walk - super proud of her for keeping up her work-out routine while on 'vacation' ;)
We had gorgeous weather while she was here!
On Friday I finally schedule LeaAnn's 2-yr picture appointment.
I was really nervous... she walked in the picture-taking area and walked right back out! The lady, who wasn't really that great, finally offered up a sucker if she smiled, and viola - LeaAnn the charmer appeared :)
Even managed to switch LeaAnn's clothes and get a few great ones of them together! Can't wait to get them back and share. Exhausted girls after our really nice lunch at Applebees! They sat and ate... amazing :)
That night, tball game at Troy Mills.... never a dull moment. This was after the game with friend Keeley Kehril.
The Dam Bar in Troy Mills for dinner
Saturday, the girls & mom took a walk down the road...
We headed to the library in Manchester... again, super nice b/c I went to Walmart while they were at the library = perfect.
I just can't believe it was 5-years ago that Lauren & Lindsay were the same ages that 3&4 are now.. and we went to both Independence & Manchester libraries all summer... look how big they are now!
Lauren opened her birthday present from Aunt Jill... a jewelry box! Complete with bottom compartments, a place for her necklaces and ... a LOCK. Couldn't have been more perfect :)
Brought the camper home in prep for Memorial Day weekend camping...
And even potted flowers! Lindsay here with her earth box that Grammy & Papa brought to her last year... we actually have flowers growing in it this year!
I have not had flowers in pots since 2009...?? I was pregnant with Lydia I believe...
It is really fun to have them, and the girls loved it of course. I will pretend that I did not deprive them for the last two years ;)
Little girls pretending to garden ;)
Maybe next year we'll do the veggie thing again... I would love to... and I think they'll all be old enough I'll be able to handle it ;) We shall see.
Mimi made hot-dog-noodles for dinner :) and Chris & I got to go out!
Sunday morning before Mimi left... LeaAnn thought she wanted to wear this dress... is it not adorable?!? It was mine :) I need to find a picture of that.
Pancake sunday thanks to dad...

tears in my eyes...you have made my day. Love, Mom/Mimi
