Received a piece of paper in October that said, "if you daughter is interested in basketball, sign here, let us know what you are willing to help with, 8 Saturday games, travel all over" etc, etc, etc. And. I signed it, cringing, KNOWING, that we were committing all of this time... for ONE of the four kids. These pictures are from their first game in Central City. And though it HAS been a lot of work, commitment, time & juggling the other 3 to make this happen for Lauren, she has really enjoyed it & learned a lot. I am very thankful for the coaches who did volunteer, Kathy Kehrli & Donna Sweet. They openly said, "uh... we played 6 on 6 and really have no clue what we're doing." But at least they did, so our kids could have a team. We just went to a game yesterday at East Buchanan and they have come a long way from this first game! It is neat to see :)
