tonsils + Monti Halloween party

Poor Lindsay... the day FINALLY came (was postponed due to sickness + cough = couldn't imagine putting her though that)... So here she was, all brave and ready to go with her doll Caroline. Dressed alike thanks to Grammy!

Lauren & I had made her a blanket and I also snagged new Halloween-comfy-socks for her to wear.

Bottom line, everything they say is true :( I asked myself several times on the way home, why did we do this to her? WHY? But you know, we're going on 4 weeks post-op and she hasn't coughed or had that snot yet. She has had some snot, but not NEAR what is was, and no sore throats! This was after the surgery when Lauren got home from school. Lauren entered into complete 'mom-mode' and took care of Lindsay better than I did :)

Just as every kid I'm sure does... Lindsay just wanted it to be 'done'... she just wanted to feel better and move on. So it was a slow week of feeling better and then not... a lot of ups & downs... just as everyone says :)

Lucky for all of us, Mimi came and stayed the week with us! Lindsay got lots of ice cream...

had a lot of shopping trips... though to her dismay, the little's had to go with us every time ;)

Here we were at Panera a week after surgery. A terrible experience pulling junk out of her nose due to the snomoplasty... but we made it.... barely. For a treat, we went to Panera afterwards... and they had plain-buttered-noodles for kids!  Which is a Beyer's kids' dream ;)

Sunday, 10/27/13 - Monti Halloween Party
And two days after her surgery was the Monti Halloween party. Again, thankfully Mimi to the rescue! Did my best to enlist help, and it worked, still a lot to juggle, and was very thankful Mom was there to help with ... theh princess :)

Here we have a dancer and Alice in Wonderland :) We did our best to 'contain' Alice... but again, she wanted to run and be like everyone else...

SO many people! We think b/c it was on a Sunday? More people were able to attend... awesome crowd :)

And that night we FINALLY got to finish bailing corn stalks... this was on Saturday when we tried to make it work, and it did not. The girls enjoyed a few rounds, but boy was it cold!
