Fall camping at Coffin's Grove

It was free! What can we say ;) I'm super glad we went one last time... and I do hope the tradition continues, b/c it's a different kind of camping, still fun, just different. :) Peck's, Hogan's, us & Jason & Dana Sullivan all braved it out at Coffin's Grove.  Next year I do hope it's 10-degrees warmer... that would make it perfect. We'll keep our fingers crossed.  Also next year, all kiddos will be big enough to keep gloves on :) so that'll be a plus too.

Lydia got the idea of 'staying warm by the fire' really quickly :)

It was so strange to look around and be the only people there... I kept thinking, we're normal, right?!? ;)

So I have to say I was a bit worried if Saturday night was to be as cold as Friday... but the forecast was for warmer temps & no wind... so we decided we'd all be just fine. :)  Saturday morning was a little tricky b/c of the cold and little hands turned red quickly... it was 'in-and-out of different campers to play' till about 10:30am.  The big kids though, never missed a beat. They played all over the campground, just as they would've if it was 80-degrees out! :)

Here we are about 2:30pm... it was decided due to the cold at night, marshmallow roasting should be done in the afternoon :D

Our soup 'cook-off' for Saturday night :) we stayed warm... and went through LOTS of firewood!! :)
