Jeanette Rae's 67th birthday celebration!

Thanks to her youngest daughter, Jody Irene! :) The instigator behind the gathering and celebration, and very thankful she made it all happen. Though a snowstorm interrupted the length of the birthday party, it was still super special. All the cousins and siblings arrived on Friday, 12/20, night so we'd all be there when Jim & Jeanette arrived the next morning around 9:30am. Here was Lydia being an elf-herself!

Spot-it with Ms. Emmalee Jeanette :)

Fancy finger-nail painting with Aunt Jody

More elf-herself-Lyda Alice :)

I mean, could it get any more perfect? She belongs in the movie, Elf ;)

Syd playing with zubbles... I LOVE those things :) a Christmas present from Barb Sullivan.

How perfect is the snow in this picture? I just haven't taken the time to figure out how to get it off... google added it for me ;)

 Two peas-in-a-pod

So the next morning arrived in a hurry!
Saturday, 12/21/13
The 'surprise' was posed as this: Riley wanted Jeanette to bring cookies over for his 4H bake sale, and Jim agreed to come with her. (He knew the whole time... b/c he never would have agreed otherwise! ;) They had a time obligation to meet, so they were supposed to arrive around 10am, which we knew would be earlier :) Here are the kiddos making signs to put on the wall saying, Happy Birthday!

And can you believe THIS!?! They are all just sitting and smiling! Magical ;) They were supposed to be super quiet as Jeanette walked in... and they did! All of them did a great job.

The original 3 :)
Evan 9-2mo, Lauren 8-8mo & Riley 8-3mo

The middle 3
Lindsay 7-4mo, Blake 6-6mo & Owen 6

And then... the bottom half :) cut LeaAnn out to boot!
Lydia 4-1mo, Emma 3-7mo, Miles & Syd ~3, LeaAnn almost 2-10mo

And she arrived! :D

 The clobbered her :)

They all went outside for stint... despite the cold they played great!

These 3 beauties became the dancing queens :)

Love Syd's face here :)

How cute are they?!?

Love, love!

Miles... what a ham!

An Owen clone? I think so :)

We had some frozen hands... but they all came out of it OK :)

cards... 500 of course

a frozen girl thawing :)

a 'pony' that would not stay put!

adore!

how precious is Sydney's face :)

Jody's house... a perfect place for entertaining and housing 11 children & 8 adults!

Did I forget to mention the feast? Mexi at that... notice the rice maker in the background? Made the trip all the way from Iowa City for the occasion! :D

They were so sweet snuggled in on the chair :)

Birthday serenade and cake too!

Umm... this picture is PRICELESS. How fitting it was for that moment in time ;)

LOVE

this one too... and just recently we found out that this was Jeanette's second birthday party ever.... ??? She said this one and there was one her friends threw her when she was a senior in high school. Oh poor Jeanette! Being a Christmas baby... never had her own celebration. Hoping the twins don't fall into that trap! Extra special attention for an extra special lady! :D

Love you Grammy/Mimi!

I really wish my girls had as many cousins as your's do. Such joy to have so many playmates as a kid! And I cannot believe those twins are so big!! I remember holding baby Sydney at Lauren's? rollerskating party not too long ago. She was so tiny and smiley :) GORGEOUS little ones all big now!!

  3. Yup, you are right, it was Lauren's roller skating party... I know it... how can 3-years disappear, just like that?
