This was early, Mimi & Pap took the kids to the beach to look for shells. I'm taking pics from our balcony. There was TONS of shells in this area that you walk on to get to the actual water...
The beach was just perfect in the mornings & evenings. Not too hot, not too cold and the water was always warm :)
Here is some of our group walking down...
Trying to ride waves... which we did all week, but it's hard to do when the waves as Dad said, "never really crash" they would just fade out....
the kids didn't really mind :)
at ALL.
This series of pics ...
I can't even.
Mimi with the camera :)
Eating PBJ's at 9:30am...Kids are starving don't 'ya know after playing for hours at the beach ;)
This guy was the coolest! And the biggest the girls' found all week. I wish I could have found a way to keep him...
or coax him out of his shell...
pretty girl :D
The shell was beautiful. My pictures don't do it justice. So we admired him in the bucket for a few hours and watched him try and fight a littler one :) it was pretty funny, should have taken video of that!
Made our way to the pool ... after lunch maybe?
Lydia finding pop tabs... she was really good at it!
Hi Donnie :) yes, he asked for it ;)
We all showered and got dressed up to go out to eat!
Donnie made reservations at Ships that was located in a really cool fishing harbour.
On the kids menu was a fried peanut-butter & jelly sandwich... what? So Chris asked about it, and we ordered the $7 sandwich :)
And it was AMAZING! Dessert for sure, but it was so good.
All the kids did amazing...
All but this girl of course ;) So we took a walk...
THIS is the face :)
Should have taken pics before we sat down I think.
And when we got back, we went sand-crab hunting! Complete with glow sticks and all, thank you Mimi!
It was the craziest thing!
On Saturday night the beach was just FULL of people...
And on Sunday night, Ashley & I walked down to the beach at 10pm and watched other people catching them... we saw a HUGE one, big as a Frisbee! yikes!
We looked and looked, and finally saw one...
They were hard to spot, b/c as you can see they are the color of the sand, and are so quick!
This is Lydia's little hand...
I just love this video... wish I would have taken more.
Perfect ending to a perfect day!

I think you've finally convinced me that I need to visit the Alabama coast someday :)
