We returned on Thursday, 7/17 from Ohio (as in yes, that was yesterday)... completely normal to pack up the next day all by ourselves again and spend the day at the fair? Sure why not! Absolutely reinforcing what awesome girls they are and how much a year makes a difference (aka: there is no 2-yr-old in the mix anymore... happy & sad about that all at the same time)
I don't know why... I supposed b/c it was Grammy's day to help with the flower show, kid arranging & vegetable people. It was the dairy & beef show day and Lauren will be a full fledged 4H member next year and she would like to take animals... so I thought, we should probably go and watch a show or two.
And enjoy everything in between too!
Flower arranging...
Lindsay waiting patiently... :)
Making flower stationary...
And she finally got a turn, and made all her own decisions :)
Vegetable people...
LeaAnn's
One of Grammy's arrangements that she of course won a big ribbon for!
Lindsay's vegetable person (I just love them!)
Lauren's veggie guy...
last but not least, Lydia's :)
Grammy won an overall ribbon for this flower again this year! This was a lily that we gave her for mother's day one year... just love that deep purple, very striking :)
Yes, I am still obsessed with pigs... especially their noses!! :D
We had lunch w/Grammy & Dad (he drove into town!). The plan was to leave after that as LeaAnn was fading fast, but the van was blocked in! So I grabbed her blankie, we watched a wild animal show, and she recovered :)
After we visited the animals, we grabbed ice cream and climbed into the stands to watch a show :)
A. she picked the outfit herself and B. she put her hands in her pocket all by herself too ;)
First ride ever ... no joke!
I was at the petting zoo with the littles and I look over and Lauren & Lindsay are participating in this kids show... and Lauren made it to the end! As in she got to participate in the grand prize game!
I decided video was the way to go with this one :) she did great! Sorry that most of it is side-ways ;)
We had a great time, glad we went!
