Monday, 7/21/14
We left the Larson's about 8am on this morning... drove 2-hrs home. We unpacked, I laid the littles down for nap, did some laundry, repacked and we were on the road by 4:15pm headed to Iowa City :) No rest for the weary, right?! I had planned this visit back in June... I knew Chris was going to be gone, I just had no idea that the Ohio visit was going to be extended and Ohio/Larsons/Raefields would all blend into one ;)
But! We had a wonderful time! Starting with heading to downtown Iowa City, getting take out and eating on the old Capitol steps...
And visiting Hurkey of course ;)
A piano to play for whomever would like... including these four little people :)
Some Poncharos, Subway, speciality pizza, cheeseburger & fries... plenty of options for lots of tastes :)

It was HOT on the steps... we were all sweating :)

And so the next stop was to cool off...

Owen had this dangling tooth... and Lauren was trying to coach him through how to just 'yank it out already' and Jill was squirming to get away Owen kept saying, "mom look at it now!" :)
And he did it!!!

Super success! The next morning...Tuesday, 7/22
We decided to pack a lunch again and this time go to the Iowa City pool.. I did not have energy to take any more pics ;) BUT I did video this... hilarious ;) It started to bank up and rain a little, and I was so tired, we called it quits early. Headed home around 3:30pm and we were all in bed by 8! Thanks for the fun 24-hrs Aunt Jill & Uncle Eric!
