a weekend of October fun...

Saturday, 10/11/14

Another gorgeous fall day & evening (lots of family time this month! ;)... we mentioned roasting marshmallows by the fire and the girls were all over it :) Chris started singing songs and asked me to sing one and I completely drew a blank! So I started reciting a book, "The Giant Jam Sandwich" and the older girls joined in :) We decided to see if we were right and what we were missing, Lauren raced upstairs to find it.

It was the cutest thing...

It's an all-time favorite story at our house :) THANKS Mimi for the original copy! I purchased a new one a few years ago...

Love Lydia leaning in...

Marshmallow face LeaAnn :)

Had to take a video :)

Sunday, 10/12/14

A jam packed Sunday... started with Sunday School, and then I helped Christa Stone out by helping to drive girls to Jordyne's 10th birthday party at the Vinton Skating Rink! Bonus, Lindsay and I both skated too :)

Jordyne's little sister Cameron (in Lydia's grade)

We had the whole place to ourselves! :) Christa rented it out for the 2-hrs before public skate...

I told the girls, you have to learn how to skate backwards! If you have a boyfriend and want to couples skate... one of you is going to have to do it ;)  Oh the lessons I learned at Skateway in Trenton, Ohio ;))

I love this rink... we've come here for several different birthday parties... next up, Lydia's 5th!

Loved this! Super easy & cute

Drove home, changed clothes and headed up to Wilgenbusch's for their annual pumpkin party! Arrived just in time for the hayride to the pumpkin patch. LeaAnn insisted on 2-little ones instead of 1 big one :)  Of course she did, right?

Miller boys got HUGE ones :)

Landon, same age as Lauren

Lindsay's was cute b/c it a side-ways one :)

A ton of kids! It grows in size every year :)

Kris has hot-dogs for the kids and sides to eat... and always, an over-abundance of sweets :) LeaAnn decided she was done eating and landed herself a private tractor ride... shocker (not so much) ;)

It was rainy & a bit chilly, but they had a fire, and no one really minded...

Girls had a 4H meeting that night, but luckily Jaci Francois agreed to help us out giving the girls a ride home :) A wonderful ending to a great weekend! THANK YOU Criag & Kris!

Had to throw these in :) King Dad t-shirt monsters :)

Created & designed all by themselves!
