Lindsay's 2nd grade talent show

The week after Mother's Day was just as busy as the last... Claire came over on the morning of Wednesday, 5/13 so I could bike/run... they were dressed, hair done and were coloring when I came home :)  LeaAnn looks so old here..

Due to our 'go-go' schedule these girls have been TIRED... isn't Lydia being so sweet... I think LeaAnn's ear hurt here :)

another face :)

Friday, 5/15...And drum roll please... it was Lindsay's 2nd grade talent show! Click here to see Lauren's 2nd grade talent show

LeaAnn found Craigy... of course :)

Check out these boys!! Holy cow... they make it look SO easy! There was one little boy who couldn't even put his bows in... wow, I was highly impressed. This is Clay

Mikel Dolan

Ella Stahr & Grace Long piano duo

Laynee Hogan soccer

And ta-da! Ms. Lindsay Rae and her ribbon dance!

She did an amazing job!

It was really sweet that their whole class started singing along... it was one of their songs from the Spring concert (EB Spring Concert 2015)

Love her smile here

Addy Gericke on her scooter

Carter shooting bow

Jacob Lehs as Elvis! He did such a great job.. these kids were so cute & funny... really made you think... who are they going to be when they are in high school?!?  I'm sure they will be quite the crew ;)

Ending song - So proud of you Lindsay Rae! I heard from several people... "that took a lot of courage and confidence for her to get up there and do that all by herself!" And it did Ms. Lindsay... you are a very talented young lady :)

Walking out

We got home and it was gorgeous out... I should have been inside cleaning and getting ready to head to Story City... but I just couldn't. It. was. beautiful! So the girls and I played ball and they rolled in the ditch :) Chris even pitched to me and I pitched to him! I can't wait to play a game when we go camping next!

That night in the bath... using a Minion bath bomb courtesy of Claire! :) Awesome day... can't wait for more like this!

the beginning of May & Mother's Day

The beginning of this month was wet! And smiley :)  the girls say, "Mom, can we have a face for lunch?"

Wednesday, 5/6...my two little sweeties :)

May was also filled with practice, practice, practice! It was pouring... I mean, pouring here... this was Tuesday, 5/5. Our softball league is K-2 plays T-ball, 3rd/4th coach-pitch and 5th/6th is girls pitch.. and this year, the pitch girls did not have enough to make a team, and they asked 3rd/4th grade girls if they wanted to move up.... and b/c we are softies :) and felt bad that they didn't have enough for a team, we agreed and let Lauren join. And what that means is, one more practice and one more game :)

This was Wednesday, 5/6... soccer practice in the rain.

Our schedule has been as such:
Monday - Lauren soccer from 4:15 - 5:15 in Independence (I have relied on Kathy Kehrli to do this running) b/c Lindsay has softball at 5pm in Quasky. Lauren then has ball in Quasky from 6-7 for coach-pitch and then from 7-8 for girls pitch :)

Tuesday - Lindsay soccer from 5:15 - 6pm
Wednesday - same schedule as Monday only I can drive Lauren & Keeley and Lindsay rides to a friend's house to get to softball
Thursday - same schedule as Tuesday
Saturday - soccer games, different times & places for both girls...

This was a new experience for us... and it's been a lot, with plenty of learning curves... and creative suppers ;) but we've managed, and both the little and big girls have enjoyed their 'go-go' status...

And this is what little people do in the van when it rains :)

The girls were patiently waiting to go 'real' camping... and so they improvised and made their own campsite ;)

And for Mother's Day weekend, we actually decided to pull the trigger and GO camping! We pulled up on Thursday, 5/7... how 'bout the Wilgenbusch's new camper?!? Pretty nice :)))

This was Saturday, 5/9 - we camped Friday night, Lindsay had a game in Cedar Falls at 10:30 and Lauren a game in Independence at noon... so I took Lindsay, and Chris took the other 3. They won their game! Super proud smile here :)

And these were pictures from Maggie's phone from Friday night...

Unfortunately, I fell ill on Saturday, and Lydia had complained on Friday but didn't think it was anything... so Lydia & I spent the night at home on Saturday night instead of camping, and Sunday (Mother's Day) was kind of a wash... but here are the super sweet things I got from the girls...

And just realized that I did not take a picture of what LeaAnn made me! Will do that... a beautiful bouquet of flowers :) and with Dad's help, a pair of pruning shears and a folding picnic table... so excited!

and to wrap up April...

Because it IS officially May! Fingers crossed that I now have included all the pictures somewhere :)

As I mentioned earlier, the girls started soccer and though taxing on time & coordinating how to get them everywhere and on-time, it's been worth it b/c they both fully enjoy it!

Here the girls are stretching before soccer practice...

After Lauren's birthday party we became infatuated with balloons... and we practiced and practiced and practiced blowing them up all by ourselves and then letting them go :) it was super fun! (insert head shake)... here, Lydia says, "look mom! I blew it up all by myself!"

Saturday, 4/25/15 - at EB prom parade with gorgeous Markia! Very well done and all the girls were breath taking... LuAnn Reck saw me first, grabbed Lauren and said, "Now Lauren, you know that NONE of you girls want to share a dress... everyone wants their own...."
Lauren promptly replied with, "I don't have to worry about that b/c I'm the oldest! That's one good thing about being the oldest." ;) You are correct Lauren... And thank you (not so much ;) LuAnn! ;))

and Jaci!

That night we met the birthday girl (my Iowa twin) out to help her celebrate her 40th! And our husbands... both named Chris and we both have 4 kids :)

That following Monday morning... LeaAnn was asleep when I woke her up at 7:10am. We normally leave at 7:10am... She never sleeps that long, so I carried her to the van and took her to Barb's ;)

The end of April ... I hope!

from Dad's phone

I finally snatched his phone away from him and plugged it in, looking for pics & videos from Colorado... and found these too!

It was fun to reminisce and thought... I have to keep them. So here they are!

Super glad I found these...they were supposed to go at the end of this post... such a fun & special night, click here - Alabama day 4

I want to go back... and see Jason Justice again... and the white sand, and the ocean, and the dolphins, and the crabs, etc, etc, etc... I just want to go back. Donnie, I know a cruise would be awesome, but this Beyer family (well I can't speak for Chris ;) really wants to see the Alabama beaches again...

Back to Iowa - Christmas! Chris took the girls to see Santa at the Winthrop library, I have no idea what I was doing or why I wasn't here :)

These Christmas Eve pics would belong with this post, click here - Christmas Eve 2014

makes me want to schedule hair cuts again :)

A fun wedding in January, Mitch & Jill Ries finally got married! It was so pretty!

Fun to see old college classmates... thank you Maggie for the dress & scarf, I was sad I didn't get any  pics of us!

This was a 're-creation' of a picture from college :) wish I could put my finger on that one... if I ever find it, I'll be sure and take a picture of it! Amy & Cynthia and 'brother-Beyer' ;)

Forgot these the first time around... Winter cabin trip!

Chris & I had a date night to Breitbach's in Balltown, Iowa (Breitbach's)... gorgeous drive and a free dinner, thank you Nick & Alley!

These were after the March of Dimes walk (I can see the paint on her face :) Lauren walking her pigs...

And last but not least, Chris begging our neighbors for asparagus... which he didn't get, ahahahah! ;) Nice try though!
