Christmas Eve 2014

Christmas Eve ~ Wednesday, 12/24/14

What a fun day this was! First thing that morning, Kris so nicely gave me a ride up the road so I could run with the wind, showered, got ready and we cooked ALL DAY. With the two best helpers around of course :) Lasagna and salad for that night, egg casserole for the morning, spin/art dip, sausage/cheese balls & bacon-wrapped smokies for appetizers... and we set the table and swept the floors! :D whew! a work-out, but SO worth it.

I still shake my head and think... how did they get so big?

 That night in church, King Dad was such a good sport to let me get this picture :)

It's been our tradition for 3 or 4 years now to have Jim & Jeanette over for Christmas Eve dinner...

The girls set the table before we left and Jim brought us this beautiful center-piece!

Can you see the name-tag/note cards on the plates? That was a surprise from Lindsay & Lauren...

And what a surprise it was! I had no idea what they were up to ... so special, precious & touching.

Everyone was very touched... Lauren wrote the names on the front...

And Lindsay wrote these adorable descriptions...

All by herself... no assistance at all....

She even wrote one about herself (!) :D :D

The only one I don't have a pic of is Jim b/c he wouldn't take it out of his pocket! I'm going to have to find it sometime and take a picture :)
Thanks for being a good-sport and letting me snap this pic Jim :) It was a perfect day and evening that led into an even more perfect Christmas Day.
