kids' artwork

And so... I did a massive 'look-through',  'clean-out' and 'organization' of pictures as I attempted to pull myself up and above the hole I've created ;) came across this album, and thought, "oh surely I blogged these..." Then I went looking for them... and couldn't find them??? Honestly, I couldn't. I thought, well, they are just from last year, but I don't think so! Some are from 2013! Here's my feeble attempt to make some sense of these ;)

Lydia, July 2013 - 3-8mo
Pretty sure these are mermaids :)

Again, Lydia 3-8mo, July 2013... aren't these people so sweet!

3/16/14
Lauren 3rd grade at 8-11mo. She was so proud of this...it's colored sand and I remember thinking... oh, this isn't going to last too long. I took these pictures to make sure she could ;)

4/16/14
Lydia 4-5mo at Barb's

I remember Barb giving me these 'stories' and her saying, "she is such a story-teller! I just love listening to her tell the story as she draws her pictures..." Too cute not to keep.

Oohh... I just saw Shena on here...

Mom got smart! I started writing the date ON the drawing... genius ;)

March 2014
I remember being so touched by Lindsay's drawing...obviously right around Easter.

Lydia again at Barb's

A self-portrait by Lindsay (at 7-1/2) :) March of April 2014

LeaAnn, not to be left out ;)

This was on the door when I came home from skiing in Colorado last April 2014 from the girls :)

Love the smiley faces on the people :)

THIS is from this year, November 2014, Lindsay 2nd grade at 8-3months

This one too! I was so impressed by it I had to take a picture :) It was a test answer from a weekly comprehension test. I found it hard to believe she didn't copy this out of a book!

12/18/14 - LeaAnn at 3-9mo
Simply amazing that this kid who usually can't be 'content' with anything was just sitting, cutting, gluing, and patting paper together... so sweet and so amazing :)

The finished product!

 Lydia's Christmas letter to Santa

This was the envelope she decorated that had our Christmas presents in it :)

I wrote, "Dad had to beg you to draw him a picture" We were at the UNI basketball tournament :) LOVE the angry minion!

This was Father's Day, May 2013 so Lydia would have been 3-1/2...

I absolutely love having these here, so I need to do this more often!!

  1. You know I love all these! I'm so glad I had the kids make Santa letters all those years. And the drawings - they are all so unique to their personalities :)
