Still Wednesday, July 8, and as I mentioned before, little did I know it would all work out perfectly, b/c not only did Lindsay get to participate, ALL the cousins did, together! They were allowing teams to sign up on the spot, so we walked down after they were done showing, signed them up and waited for their turn!
And made a game plan of course :)
And Lauren had already wrestled once with Team Pigpen (that I did miss b/c of the Jr Fun day show) so she had some expertise to give ;)
Here is Team Pig Pen, who HAD it! They had the pig up and pinned on the tire, but it escaped at the last second!! They want a redo next year :)
Here is Kreighton, Peyton, Tate & Parker, team Baragary cousins!
They also did a great job, but that pig was just a little too fast, and a little too big in my opinion, they should have given them a smaller one :)

Still waiting... see how clean they are?
Lindsay comes running up to me, "Mom, can we do it again? Avery wants to know if we want to wrestle again with her and Brezlen ?" How could I say no? :)
More game plans...
And then finally, it was their turn!
Not only did they continue to water down the mud pit to make it sloppier, they dumped oil on the pig... not kidding. My thought was, is that really necessary?? I mean, this is not an easy feat!
But as you can see from this video, they came out to conquer, and they did!!! It was so much fun to watch :) As you can hear from me yelling :) sorry, couldn't help it... and at the end I didn't think they had it all the way up, but they did!!
So cool :)

Winners! I mean, there was only one prize, and that was for the fastest overall time, which went to 4 grown men, but they did it! They were winners :)
And their smiles tell all... Just such a cool experience for them that was completely made possible by Aunt Jody's ability to be impromptu and make things happen... and I'm so glad she did. It is a tradition that they now want to carry on :)
And one more time... Lauren & Linds jumped in with Avery & Brezlen to wrestle one last time :)
And they did it!! Again, so fun :)

Oh yes, I forgot to mention, it was decided that LeaAnn looked like her goat with her hair in knots like this, so she insisted on it for the rest of the week :)
Then the not so fun part, rinsing off :) freezing cold water! We went back to the camper, managed to get them all through the shower with somewhat warm water and feed them all walking tacos :) And the clothes that were supposed to be trashed, Jody took them all to Grammy's that night and washed them clean! Along with all the towels, a life saver!
So we ate, Chris made it back from Omaha, he drove there and back in one day!! And we went up to wash the pigs b/c the show was the next day.
I was starting to get a little bit nervous at this point, but not this girl... she was calm, cool and collected and nothing but excited. She laid out all of her stuff, set her alarm to get up early and jumped in bed. So incredibly proud of all of them, and so thankful that Jody drove over and that Grammy was there to help, and that Chris made it back safely :)
