So! Up and at 'em on Sunday morning... not sure how we pulled it off, but we did ;) Met Mimi & Pap at our usual 1/2 way point, ate at Subway and then they were off!
This is Lydia shortly thereafter ;)
And then LeaAnn :)
They got to open stockings from Mimi upon arrival :)
pancake breakfasts :)
Library trips...
I will have to get the list from Lauren & Lindsay as to all the places they went... b/c they did a lot in those 4 days!! Mimi said it was super fun and they were not completely wiped b/c Pap got to help too, b/c he's retired!! :D
It was Mimi & Pap's 42nd wedding anniversary... so here are the pics I shared on FB :)
Cheers to many more Mom & Dad!!
They had a great time!! And so did we :) Can't thank you enough for our mini-vacation!!
We showed up on Thursday night... New Years Eve and just hung out with the kids. Mimi was very sweet and let them stay up until midnight... it was hard to keep my eyes open!! :D And per tradition it seems, we went bowling on New Years day :)
Oh! And the kids had a super sweet Christmas play they put together... and it's a post in itself :)
And then Chris & I headed to Mendi's to see Tara & Sara and watch the end of the Ohio State game and watch the Iowa game! The kids stayed at Mimi's and decorated their very own gingerbread houses :)
When Chris & I came home that night, we put our guesses beside whose house was whose :) we should have taken a picture of that b/c we were completely wrong!!
These two were best buddies the whole trip!! So sweet <3
And our final day in Ohio, Amber, Henry & Brin Leigh came to visit us! And we had Billy & Stacie's wedding! So great to catch up with Amber and her kids <3
Beautiful wedding and reception, and it was really fun to see everyone!

Mimi let me wear Grandma Rita's necklace :) love it!

It was Jim's birthday as well! And now I'm failing to remember, his 50th I believe!?!
They were so cute watching them dance!
Not that I got many pictures, but we had a great time dancing! Wish we could have had more time to visit with everyone ... it really was a special night :)
We made it home safely, girls were great travelers as usual... and they went outside to play in the snow! Aunt Dawn gave Lydia this necklace at the wedding, and she would not take it off! :D Hopefully, we'll be back soon!! Thanks again Mom & Dad for everything!
