The day we've been talking about, drawing about, dreaming about... has finally arrived! Our annual trip to Kings Island, and we are sitting on the front porch at 8am waiting on the Koontz family :) (Donnie was actually 10-minutes late - ha!)
Lydia was a good sport about not going, Mimi had her entertained :)
And Pap quick washed the van before our trip!
Lucky for me, Lauren brought her (my old) camera to Ohio, so I packed it in the backpack :)
Elle & I waiting to get on 'Flying Ace Aeriel Chase'
They are all on this ride, but I could only capture Elle's face ;)
Waiting in line for White Water Canyon! Which became the days favorite ride :)
Best deal at KI... $.25 to shoot water at your friends! Carson was getting ready to blast them, I snapped this picture, and the camera blinked back at me, 'card full' - rats! They came running off the ramp saying they wanted to 'do it again!', so I was hoping that I would be able to try and get better pics next time.
On-to 'the Beastie'... now it's actually called, 'Woodstock Express'
Rode the train over to the water-park for a few hours...
Came back to ride more rides, and started with White Water again. So here's my attempt to shoot the water & take pics :)
The water comes out of these spouts you see below
Onto face painting, Lindsay was a rainbow-butterfly...
Elle had 'sprinkle' butterflies...
Carson a snake :) doesn't the green snake bring out his green eyes??
and Lauren a 'girl' puppy-dog :)
Favs for the day... White Water Canyon #1 & face painting was #2
Ended the day with a trip up the Eiffel tower...
Here is the roller coast I have yet to get on... and I don't know if I ever will :) the Diamond Back.
This hill is as high as we were! It's so great they say...stadium seating, nothing around your arms, feel like you're free-falling... sure, sure... sounds great - not! Makes my stomach sink every-time I think about it :)
These two I will get on, and so does Elle! Here is the Vortex (Elle rides) & the Beast (Lauren rode last year... bad deal) is in the background.
and the fountains! And all the cars! It was SO crowded...
And while we were gone, the little two went fishing with Mimi & Pap! Pictures compliments of Mimi's I-phone :)
How adorable is this?!?
Lydia knows how to work the system ;)
She would say, "I don't wike fish! Day wiggwy!" But she loved to put the pole in the water & reel it in...
Taking a break & cooling off...
She was pretty proud of her catch :)
All-in-all it was a great day for all four kiddos :D
